105 is a new number to call if you have a power cut. It’s easy to remember and will put you through to your local electricity network operator – the company that manages the wires and substations that bring electricity into your home.

Electric blanket testing tomorrow

Free electric blanket testing, courtesy of East Sussex Fire and Rescue. The first session is at St John's Church Hall, Polegate on the 28th September between 10am and 12 noon.

Full of Life

Saturday October the first is Older People's Day. In support and in celebration of older people's contribution to society, East Sussex County Council has, in partnership with other agencies, put together a programme of events for older people in East Sussex this September and October. The programme includes exercise and fitness classes, coffee mornings and much more!

OUTDOOR GYM OPEN

The new outdoor gym at the War Memorial Recreation Ground is now open. The equipment is suitable for adults and those over 1.4 metres tall.

The Mayor's Junior Art/Photography Competition

A chance for Polegate youngsters aged 16 or under to showcase their artistic abilities. The competition is open from now until the 31st October, so there's plenty of time to get creative!

Roadworks in and around Polegate

 

A27 Berwick and Selmeston - resurfacing works commencing Monday 19th September and expected to be completed by Friday 7th October. Road closures and diversions will be in force.
